Feb 17-26 (Vacation Week)

LATEST UPDATE: Wed, Feb 22, 6 PM

Rain/snow is forecast for Thursday morning, so take the morning off and sleep in.
We will train tomorrow afternoon 12-3 PM.  On Friday the forecast is for snow/rain
all day, so let’s take the day off.   It is unproductive to ski 9 days in a row.  Your
body needs to rest!!

Two of the 4 SVC races are scheduled for the weekend of Feb 25-26 — that’s
almost half of the qualifying runs for the VARA State Championships.   So, we need
to have a really productive training week, and at the same time come into the
weekend well rested.

Remember: the following weekend (March 3-4) is the J4 SG State Championships.
See rough schedule below.

Thu, Feb 23
AM    Sleep in
12-3 PM    Train SL and maybe GS.  Be prepared for both, depending on hill space.

Fri, Feb 24

Day Off — rest and re-energize

Sat, Feb 25
     SVC J4 Slalom at Bromley

Sun, Feb 26
SVC J4 GS at Mt Snow

LOOKING AHEAD:
Friday, March 2     Friday Club — SG training
Saturday, March 3   SG training
Sunday, March 4     J4 State SG Championships, Stratton

Hope this posting find everyone well and ready to move into the second half of the season. The Bromley crew has continued to do a great job of providing us a terrific playground, despite mother nature’s evil efforts. Most of our athletes will be around this weekend(due to postponed events) to enjoy some training before the crazy schedule’s of February and March kick in. Also, we are planning a BBQ for Saturday(28th) and would welcome any assistance and/or donations to help offset the cost/efforts of providing this wonderful fare for our members and staff.

This weekend’s events include an exciting boarder/skier cross competition on the Plaza hill for Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday afternoon we will be hosting the second Pabst race of the year on the East Meadow. These events are always fun and are great opportunity to work off your volunteer commitments.

We would like to remind everyone that our biggest fundraiser of the year is also approaching, Febfest. We are always looking for help in gathering outstanding auction items, please help our club by seeking out items from your business and personnel contacts. Let’s us know what you come up with.
