This page is dedicated to the Burr and Burton Academy Alpine Ski Team; located in\u00a0Manchester, VT. \u00a0The team, which includes both men and women have garnered great success in the past decade. \u00a0The men’s team currently coming of their fourth straight championship title, have now added to the long legacy that is the men’s team and their dominance in the sport. \u00a0The women’s team who have struggled in years past have recently built a strong base for the future of the program; as they finished runners up in 2014, the highest placement since 2008.<\/p>\n

The team starts their training in mid-November with dry land work outs at BBA; following this dry land, the team moves its training to Bromley Mountain. \u00a0Bromley is also the venue for many of the\u00a0race events throughout the season<\/span>. \u00a0The team competes in the\u00a0Southern District, governed by the <\/span>Vermont Principals Association (VPA)<\/a>; which includes teams from surrounding school districts: Woodstock, Rutland, Black River and many independent racers.\u00a0 <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The team is coached by coach Curt Cowles, and our assistant coaches come from a variety of BOC coaches\/staff that either have been in the BBA alpine program before or are weekend coaches that have a true dedication to the athletes. \u00a0If questions, comments or concerns arise feel free to contact the coach.<\/p>\n
