Help The BOC update critical infrastructure on our competition hill. We are fundraising to run high-speed fiber internet to our competition arena so that we can provide race results in real-time to all interested supporters as well as creating the ability to broadcast our races live on our YouTube channel. The project includes the running of fiber from the base area to our finish building (“Tom’s Shack”) as well as the installation two high-end video cameras to provide automated video coverage of the race hill. We will use these cameras to capture not only race video, but also training video for our Alpine athletes. We hope to complete this project before the start of the 2022/23 season here at Bromley.
Through our partnership with Bromley Mountain, we are able to take advantage of a significant cost savings by running this fiber up their existing lift towers, as opposed to having to bury the wiring, which is much more expensive.
The total estimated cost for this project is $50,000 and we need your help to make this happen! Help The BOC elevate the level of race events that we produce, keep family and friends connected through observing our races from afar, and help us to take our on-hill training to the next level. The availability of video on our training space will greatly benefit BOC athletes and students for years to come.
