BOC Seasonal Snowboard Program

We are pleased to announce a BOC snowboard seasonal program. This program is for riders who are very strong intermediate to advanced riders. We will begin on SUNDAY, January 7th due to Saturdays subzero weather temps.

Lead Coach Betsy Shaw
We are super excited to welcome Betsy Shaw to the program as the lead coach! Betsy started ski racing at age 11 with the Bromley Outing Club and turned to snowboarding at age 20. After 8 years of ski racing, she embarked on a 13 year competitive snowboarding career. Betsy was part of the Burton Snowboard Pro Team and trained with The World Pro Snowboard team, based in Mt. Bachelor, Oregon. She won the U.S. Open slalom in 1991, the World Title for Giant Slalom in 1995, and bronze and silver medals in the 1995 ISF World Championships in Davos, Switzerland. At age 33, she was a member of the first U.S. Women’s Olympic Snowboarding Team and competed in the 1998 Nagano Olympics in Giant Slalom.

Schedule
The program will begin this weekend on SUNDAY January 7 and meet every weekend and holiday period until the last weekend of March. Betsy has a prior commitment to go ride in Europe during MLK weekend so Alexia Sherwood will be taking group that weekend.
